What is the opportunity?
Are you interested in the opportunity to work as a Business Analyst Intern at RBC?
As a key team within RBC's Global Risk Management (GRM) function, the COO Office is responsible for enabling the organization’s long-term success by delivering on the following core services:
- Transformation Management Office
- Business Management
- Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Business Continuity Management
- Innovation & Talent Integration
- Strategic Planning & Productivity
- IT & Data Strategy
We act as trusted partners, guiding the business through complex challenges with integrity, agility, and collaboration to ensure sustainable growth and resilience in an ever-evolving risk landscape.
This internship is an opportunity to support the GRM COO Office and is open to Vancouver and Toronto based candidates.
What will you do?
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, activities to support:
- design, development, and delivery of process improvements enabled by technology
- collaboration with technology partners to develop innovative ways to solve challenges within the GRM function
- building presentations, developing strategy and communicating business value of projects
- collecting, analyzing, synthesizing information and formulating solutions and strategies
- hosting meetings, setting agendas, taking meeting minutes
- documenting and updating procedures, spreadsheets, and completion of reporting
- providing project updates, financial commentary, managing budgets, tracking employee movements, financial investigations and reconciliations
- adhoc duties as assigned
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree in business, finance or economics.
- Excellent problem solving and proven analytical skills, with a high degree of initiative.
- Positive attitude, collaborative mindset and strong relationship building.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and business writing skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment.
Nice-to-have
- Ability to challenge the status quo and think outside the box to develop solutions
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and working with end users to understand their needs
- Interest and understanding of up and coming technology and methodologies

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Fall 2025 Student placement with a start date of September 2025, and end date of December 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
