WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY

Houseful.ca is a digital real estate and homebuying platform on a mission to make buying and owning a home more straightforward and more accessible for Canadians. From affordability calculators and home listings to equity insights and financial product integration, Houseful is building the most complete homeownership experience in the country.

We are looking for a strategic, analytically sharp, and operationally minded finance leader to join as Head of Strategic Finance. This is a critical leadership role within the Houseful leadership team, responsible for strategic financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and shaping the company’s path to sustainable, scalable growth.

You’ll partner closely with the CEO, cross-functional leaders in RBCx and RBC Home Equity Finance (HEF), and to align financial strategy with business execution, while ensuring data-informed decision-making at every level.

Houseful is backed by the scale, trust, and resources of RBC while operating with the agility of a startup under the RBCx Portfolio of Companies. This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-driven team inside a well-capitalized, high-impact venture.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting across the business.

  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to define strategic priorities, scenario planning, and operational investment models.

  • Serve as a key financial liaison between Houseful and RBCx finance, compliance, and the RBC HEF teams.

  • Support pricing and monetization, and partnership modeling for real estate and financial service offerings.

  • Provide analytical leadership for go-to-market strategies, cohort economics, and customer lifecycle value analysis.

  • Manage internal relationships as needed with financial reporting officers and strategic partners

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Proven ability to own company-level forecasting and performance tracking in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of unit economics, marketplace revenue models, and consumer acquisition frameworks.

  • Exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills; bonus if comfortable with BI tools and SQL.

  • Confident communicator who can advise, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders with credibility.

  • Experience working within a venture-backed startup or an innovation unit of a larger financial services organization is a strong plus.

  • Passion for reshaping how Canadians engage with real estate and financial products.

Must have

  • 7–10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance—ideally with experience in growth-stage tech or consumer platforms.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Business

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-have

  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA or CPA.

  • Experience in fintech marketplace, or PLG business models.

  • Background in financial services or regulatory environments is a plus.
