What is the opportunity?
This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, business management, reporting and employee engagement needs of the Strategy & Operations, Compliance Canada team. As Manager, Business Management & Operations, you will support the delivery, administration, and execution of various strategic initiatives. These initiatives are critical to uplift Compliance operations and practices and enable the function to align with regulatory expectations. You will be supporting and reporting to the Associate Director, Strategy & Operations.
What will you do?
Strategic Initiatives & Project Management
- Maintain project information for accuracy and compliance, including gathering, maintaining, updating, tracking, and storing project data, information, and artifacts to ensure maintenance of document repository.
- Provide analysis of project plans and status reports to the Project Managers and/or Program Managers assigned and flag issues, risks and weekly “to do’s” on projects and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to the development of initiative strategies and execution plans and regularly provide insights to improve the offerings. Develop and deliver clear communications, stakeholder requirements, data collection, and program updates.
Business Management
- Assist with annual budget planning process and monthly reporting of current financial/budget status for Compliance Canada.
- Support staff position requests, reviews, approval process, and maintaining supporting internal tracking systems, reconciliations and organizational charts.
- Providing data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting support to the Strategy & Operations Team
- Support with reports related to Financial Forecasting, FTE Management, Non-Financial Metrics (Training, Employee Rewards and Recognition, etc.)
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Assist with creating and fostering the employee experience by supporting event management & execution, communications to employees, and proactively anticipating needs for regional and employee engagement events that are hosted by the SVP & CCO, Compliance Canada (e.g., Town Halls, Lunch & Learns, Networking Sessions, etc.)
- Create strong relationships with stakeholders across Compliance Canada and Global Regulatory Compliance to ensure program objectives are aligned to needs of the organization.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree - preferred areas of study include Business Administration; Change Management, Communications, Organizational Development, Project Management.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in relevant or complimentary capacities.
- Intermediate competency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Python, SQL, Confluence etc. or willingness to learn is a plus.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Working knowledge or experience in operations, business management, and/or compliance.
