What is the opportunity?
The Commercial Banking marketing team is seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to support the transformational growth across the RBC Commercial Banking business. We are looking for someone who is comfortable creating innovative marketing strategies across various segments as well diving deep into the details to ensure the smooth execution of marketing initiatives.
You will play an important role in overseeing many aspects of marketing for a range of business segments within commercial banking, including the development and implementation of marketing strategies, execution of campaigns/sponsorships and other activities that will drive our leadership in Canadian commercial banking space.
This person thrives in fast paced environments and is comfortable respectfully challenging the status quo. This marketer will display leadership across functional teams and have the ability to effortlessly navigate a highly matrixed organization to deliver results
What will you do?
Oversee the creation and implementation of intricate marketing strategies, including drafting creative and media briefs, as well as assessing and executing those strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive integrated planning, oversee end-to-end campaign strategy/execution and reporting
- Lead the development of sponsorship activations/events, media plans, social, content marketing strategies and implementation
- Execute flawlessly to get sponsorship activations and campaigns into market; mapping out contingency plans for campaigns/activations where required
- Ensure disciplined metric establishment, measurement and analyses to enable strategic conversations, and fuel insights and future marketing plans
- Employ continuous improvement mindset and identify opportunities and recommendations for improvement and growth within the overall strategy and initiatives.
- Oversee end-to-end management of internal and external marketing budgets, including monthly re-forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, stakeholder updates
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- University Degree; Marketing or Communications
- 5+ years of marketing experience; with at least 3+ years in a strategic capacity
- Experience in experiential, sponsorship, events, content and digital marketing
- Strong ability to develop proposals for working team/executive audiences with an understanding of how to tailor presentations, secure timely approvals, confidently present to executives
- Experience in developing and launching marketing initiatives, which may include social and content marketing strategies, evergreen campaigns and more
- Ability to lead and adapt in ambiguous and rapidly changing business environment situations and effectively influence outcomes/decisions
Nice-to-have
- Previous B2B marketing experience
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way in cross-functional teams and across the organization
