As an integral member of a successful and growing private-client discretionary wealth management team, your role as a Associate Wealth Advisor and Financial Planner is to deliver high value customized advice and wealth management strategies to High Net-Worth (HNW) clients. As a valued partner, you will also assist with client management, opportunity spotting and potential for business development.
Business Delivery & Operational Management
- Work with our team and other experts in our Financial Planning and Estate Planning group to prepare comprehensive plans to meet client’s specific needs in the areas of financial, investment, retirement and risk management.
- Deliver presentations to clients, COIs, prospects, and educate business owners about wealth management options/strategies, or recent developments (budget changes, taxes, etc.)
- Promote and support a work environment that inspires innovation, creativity, collaboration and diversity
- Maximize outcomes by actively contributing to the client’s peace of mind and the team’s business development pursuits
Client & Relationship Management
- Assist Portfolio Managers by being a primary relationship manager for a select group of client relationship
- Ability to foster and strengthen existing high/ultra-high net worth client relationships is critical
- Develop strong internal and external networks and referral sources (i.e., Bank professionals, Accountants, Lawyers, etc.)
- Ensuring that each and every client is benefiting from tax minimizing options available to them (Inc. RRSPs, TFSA, IPPs, Spousal loans, Trusts and insurance strategies
- In coordination with our team, effectively respond to client account inquiries and take ownership of follow-ups
- Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
Must-have
- CFP designation
- A minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience
Nice-to-have
- A background in one of the following areas would be considered an asset:
- Similar role with another investment dealer
- Financial Planner

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.
The expected base salary range for this position is $38,000 - $55,000.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
