What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Director, CFO Group Communications, the Senior Manager will play an important role in driving internal communications and employee engagement across the CFO Group by creatively articulating the function’s strategic priorities, telling the stories of how CFO Group colleagues advance RBC’s bold ambitions, and amplifying enterprise initiatives in our content. The Senior Manager will also partner across the enterprise to enhance how we tell RBC’s financial and strategic story by project managing the development of the front section of our annual report and supporting quarterly earnings content.
What will you do?
Develop and execute key CFO Group internal communications strategies and content focused on amplifying CFO Group’s strategic priorities and bank-wide themes
Project manage the front section of RBC’s annual report, including the design process and collaborating with internal partners, and support the development of earnings-related material
Lead the development and execution of engaging and creative global all-employee town halls and other employee events
Contribute to the development of executive content (speaking notes, leadership messages, briefing notes etc.)
Partner with CFO Group leaders on significant change initiatives and programs as required
Collaborate closely with colleagues across businesses and functions and contribute to the success of RBC Brand, Marketing, Communications & Citizenship’s overarching goals, including instilling a strong ONE RBC culture
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
7+ years of communications experience with proven track record for providing strategic advice and insight to executives and partners
Strong project management experience with an ability to build trust and positively influence outcomes with partners and senior leaders
Ability to connect the dots, distill complex information and collaborate fluidly with global business and functional colleagues to tell thought-provoking stories
Experience in developing and delivering engaging executive town halls
Excellent communications skills - written, verbal and interpersonal with a strong attention to detail
Deadline-driven and results-oriented with strong time management capabilities
Nice-to-have
Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field
Change communications knowledge or experience
Solid understanding of financial reporting, completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
