We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team in Toronto. Our team is focused on digital platforms, creating world-class analytics products. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the evolution of our infrastructure.

What will you do?

  • Architect and develop scalable and robust fullstack applications using React, Next.js, and backend technologies.
  • Design and implement microservices and containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across the stack.
  • Lead the development of high-quality code, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in fullstack development.
  • Proficiency in React and backend technologies (Node.js/Java).
  • Experience with Java streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka Streams, Java Streams API).
  • Proven experience in architecting and developing scalable applications.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Leadership skills and experience working with technical teams (Developers/Quality Engineers/Business Analysts).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and electronic trading flows.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
