Job Summary

The Director, Strategic Enablement reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Enablement will support the Enterprise Chief Operating Office Pillars including Corporate Real Estate, Enterprise Chief Control Office, Chief Data Office and Procurement and Supplier Management. This role encompasses several critical responsibilities that ensure the continuous growth, development, and engagement of team members, while aligning with broader RBC enterprise organizational objectives.

Job Description

What will you do:

  • Strategic Communications: Inspire, influence, and inform the ECOO Group through strategic communications. This involves crafting clear and compelling messages that align with the organization's goals and resonate with team members at all levels (including executive, corporate, and event communications). The role includes managing internal communication channels, creating content that highlights key achievements and updates, and ensuring the group's vision and objectives are effectively communicated.
  • People Enablement: Maintain a knowledge management strategy, tools and content to support people managers through internal collaboration tools, learning and development strategy, internal facing websites.
  • Employee Experience: Enhance and continuously improve employee experience, ensuring team members are engaged, motivated, and satisfied with their work environment. This includes implementing initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that promote a positive workplace culture, addressing employee concerns, and providing opportunities for feedback and improvement.
  • Strategic Operations: Support senior leaders across ECOO with strategic offsites for business planning workshops, townhalls, strategy workshops, content creation, performance committees and operational planning (e.g. capacity planning etc.)

What do you need to succeed:

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years experience in communications (internal + external)
  • 5 years people management experience
  • Previous experience building and executing communication and engagement strategy
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills, exceptional leadership and organization skills and an ability to connect the dots between strategy and execution.
  • Ability to influence large groups at various levels

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in financial institution
  • Experience working with senior executives and communication teams
