What is the opportunity
The Policy Administration Squad team is constantly undertaking complex development initiatives within Insurance Technology.
In this role, you will be a Sr. Software Developer within the INGENIUM development team, responsible for designing and implementing software solutions.
The role involves coordination, development, communication, and execution to ensure objectives are accomplished on time and meet intents.
What will you do?
Designing and coding application programs; performing testing for developed applications.
Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.
Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
3+ years’ experience with COBOL, DB2, JavaScript.
3+ years’ experience with JCL.
Knowledge of security protocols.
Full software development life-cycle experience and thorough testing prior to release
Understanding of Agile.
Nice-to-have
Insurance and/or Financial Industry experience.
INGENIUM experience.
Knowledge of developing distributed cloud applications (OpenShift - OCP);
Experience using and developing APIs.
Knowledge of major architectures style (message oriented, reactive, event based).
Micro-service architecture, design, and implementation (load balancing, discovery, resiliency).
