What is the opportunity?
As the Director, CRM Platform Engineering, you will have a critical leadership role in the implementation and management of Salesforce across RBC Wealth Management Canada (WMC), driving technical leadership and instilling delivery excellence across all our teams.
The successful candidate will be excited to join and help lead a team that employs the latest in technology, scaled agile practices, as well as DevOps/SRE to stand up an infrastructure that supports the Salesforce Platform for RBC WMC. This role will act as a people leader for the Salesforce Engineering practice, developing our Technical Staff and working in partnership with the WMC business and program teams.
What will you do?
Direct and build a high-performing technical staff of Salesforce Engineers by fostering a collaborative and supportive culture that promotes innovation and excellence across the management team and staff.
Be a player-coach, working hands-on with team members to solve complex problems and coordinate resources as needed, hiring and partnering with vendors as needed to enable delivery capacity.
Directing and managing the delivery of large and complex application development programs. Balancing strategies for project delivery timelines and long-term product scalability.
Ensure high standards and quality of technical work. Directing reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.
Strategically partner with Business and Functional leadership to drive scalability in the platform, innovate our solution design and development practices, and ensure on-time delivery.
Be a Salesforce evangelist to various internal stakeholders and support meaningful collaboration that enable Salesforce adoption.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Minimum 8+ years in the IT field
At least 3+ years of leadership experience, including team management and strategic planning responsibilities
At least 3 years in a delivery lead role, leading complex Salesforce deployments with multiple stakeholder groups, managing executive stakeholders, operating and steering committees
Experience building and managing technical delivery teams
One or more Salesforce Architect Certifications, including but not limited to: Application Architect, System Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Integration Architect, Data Architect, Identity and Access Management Architect.
Experience managing and delivering nuanced technical messages to senior stakeholders and end users.
Nice-to-have:
Experience in Financial Services
Delivery experience with Salesforce Data Cloud
Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional
Experience with back-end integration development capabilities, including but not limited to: Kafka, GraphQL, and ETL tools (e.g., DataStage, Mulesoft, Informatica, etc.)
Prior pre-sales or technology consulting experience
