Job Description

What is the opportunity?

At RBCx, we’re creating and growing a portfolio of companies that solve real-world financial problems for all Canadians. The Director, Business Integration & Program Management will oversee execution for key initiatives across the RBCx portfolio companies – Dr.Bill, Mydoh, Ownr and Houseful. This role will partner closely with the portfolio company leaders and key partners to drive execution against an integrated roadmap and enable the portfolio to build and scale.

What will you do?

  • Develop and manage an integrated, cross-portfolio roadmap, including coordination with cross-functional teams across RBCx and RBC
  • Facilitate portfolio planning events, initiative prioritization and sequencing, and identification of key dependencies
  • Manage the end-to-end execution for strategic initiatives to ensure successful delivery
  • Develop and oversee project plans and coordination across product, design, technology, operations and marketing
  • Maintain transparent communication on status of initiatives and progress against roadmap
  • Work with the portfolio companies to report on key results and ensure that initiatives deliver against desired business outcomes
  • Proactively manage and escalate risks, issues, impediments and dependencies, driving to resolution to enable execution at pace
  • Facilitate strong relationships with partners through alignment on goals, clarity of expectations, and effective communication
  • Implement and enhance program management methodologies and agile ways of working, promoting learning to drive continuous improvement

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 7+ years of experience in program management
  • Experience in delivery of cross-functional initiatives and management of complex programs, including scheduling and roadmaps, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate ideas into impactful workstreams and outcomes
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders, executives and vendors
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile delivery methodologies

Nice-to-have

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Professional certifications including PMP/PGMP, CSM/ACSM, SAFE
  • Change management certification such as CCMP, Prosci or APMG
  • Experience managing post-acquisition integration
