Job Description

What is the opportunity?

A member of the PH&N Institutional RFP Team, this Analyst is responsible for drafting new business proposals, completing due diligence questionnaires, and contributing to the business development needs of both RBC GAM National Accounts and PH&N Institutional, two business divisions within RBC Global Asset Management Inc. in Canada.

As the National Accounts specialist, this individual will also be the point person for all National Accounts requests directed to the RFP Team, and will provide related reporting to the Managing Director, National Accounts. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, works well under pressure, has strong interpersonal skills, and has an excellent command of written English and MS Office (French language skills also an asset).

PH&N Institutional is the Canadian institutional investment management business of RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM). This position could be based in Toronto or Vancouver, and any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the successful candidate.

What will you do?

  • Compile submissions to win new business via formal request for proposals (RFP) competitions.
  • Complete ongoing due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) to support and retain existing business
  • Compile qualitative and quantitative content for due diligence efforts, marketing collateral, and various other projects.
  • Collaborate with teams across RBC GAM and work hard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage the expectations of various stakeholders;
  • Support teammates in delivering high quality, accurate deliverables in a timely manner;
  • Report regularly about work done by the RFP Team for National Accounts; and
  • Other duties, as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Most importantly, you are enthusiastic, and client-service oriented with a proven ability to draft, edit and repurpose content to suit a given audience or opportunity.
  • You have an ability to manage time effectively prioritize tasks within a fast-paced environment.
  • You are effective independently, and work well within a team and with a wide variety of different stakeholders.
  • You have advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You submit a cover letter with your application.

Nice to Have

  • Fluency in French
  • Familiarity with Salesforce customer relationship management system
  • Interest in capital markets and/or Industry-related education, such as the Canadian Securities Course
  • Experience working in the investment industry, writing grant proposals in another industry, or working with data and integrating it with qualitative content.

The expected base salary range for the above position is $50,000 – 75,000, depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position will be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
