Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Digital Channel Strategy is responsible for supporting the development and execution of digital channel strategies that drive consideration, acquisition and engagement for RBC Wealth Management’s (RBC WM) regional businesses. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across RBC WM and the broader Enterprise to ensure the delivery of engaging websites that support business priorities and client needs, while also ensuring digital channel alignment Strategic planning and channel management.

*Please note this is a contract role.

What will you do?

  • Support the development, evolution, execution and maintenance of RBC Wealth Management’s long-term corporate .com strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and client needs.
  • Identify, evaluate and report on emerging website trends to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Support the development of a website performance framework and KPIs to measure effectiveness and impact of .com initiatives.
  • Oversee search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns, including liaising with the Enterprise Digital Marketing team and WM regional marketing teams on keyword research, ad group segmentation, negative keyword management, ad copy refinement and landing page conversion optimization.

Data analysis and optimization

  • Analyze website data to identify trends, opportunities and actionable insights to implement globally.
  • Implement A/B testing frameworks and data-driven optimization strategies to identify areas to improve website performance globally (e.g. through UX, SEO, etc.).
  • Work with the WM Analytics team to maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards for stakeholders and identify areas to enhance measurement capabilities.

Operations

  • Oversee the intake, asset management and prioritization of website requests for all RBC WM businesses.
  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence across the Digital Channels team.
  • Support the overall health and hygiene of the websites, from regulatory adherence to integrations, through regular audits, updates and analysis.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with digital (delivery, engineering, design, analytics), content, brand, digital marketing and regional marketing teams to ensure website strategies align with business, marketing and broader enterprise objectives.
  • Play an active role in a cross-functional website support team, participating in regular meetings and assessing and analyzing the current pipeline, upcoming asks and enhancement roadmap to establish priority and set expectations for regional partners.
  • Represent regional marketing partners and act as a project manager; monitor and report on the status of requests and create and maintain project documentation.
  • Demonstrate leadership in process improvement through the creation and delivery of tools and/or frameworks to support and manage regional website requests.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Minimum of five years of work experience in corporate digital marketing, web channels or digital agency environment. Global experience is an asset.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional and measurable results through digital marketing efforts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to juggle competing tasks.
  • A resourceful and optimistic approach to problem-solving, collaboration and managing
    relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and project management skills and the ability to execute independently.
  • Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience with WordPress, Salesforce CRM, APIs and content management platforms.
  • Knowledge of ad and website analytics platforms and the ability to analyze data and articulate findings and data-drive recommendations to stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of SEO and optimization best practices for web and social.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across global teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in corporate strategy or product management/strategy within a financial services or technology company.
  • Understanding of financial institutions and products as they relate to high-net-worth individuals.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Wrike, Jira).
  • Canadian Securities Course.
  • Understanding of French an asset.
