Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As part of the Group Risk Management team (GRM), the Project Control Officer (PCO) will support the delivery of risk-based initiatives that are transformational, innovative and regulatory in nature.

What will you do?

  • Consolidation of individual project plans into a program level integrated plan
  • Creation of dependency diagrams, key milestone tracking charts, high level timelines
  • Analysis and communications of critical path and periodic risk assessment on the schedule identifying potential risks/opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies to the Project/Program
  • Provide scheduling support as required to Project Managers or Work stream Leads
  • Monitors, documents and supports project/program cost/financial management control processes
  • Assist in the development and analysis of financial forecast reporting (e.g. identify tracking variances, integrate risks / issues with financial forecasting)
  • Assists the Project Managers in their follow-up of outstanding deliverables, issues, risks, action items and notifying appropriate parties of any concerns, risks, or issues identified through support deliverables
  • Responsible for program level reporting, including providing assistance to Program Leadership team in preparing project/program presentations, status updates, meeting agendas & minutes, communications and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Responsible for document management, including the management and ongoing maintenance of the program repository
  • Promote best practices in project management and schedule management

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience supporting projects/programs.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  • Knowledge related to program/project cost management, assumptions and risk based planning, risk assessment, status reporting, general administration
  • Knowledge of program and project plan development, scheduling methodology, iterative and agile methodologies, program and project metrics, analysis and status reporting.

Nice-to-have

  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) – Business/Finance
  • Experience in working in a banking environment, specifically in the risk infrastructure and bank regulatory capital requirements;
  • Experience in risk and/or regulatory projects
