What is the opportunity?
You will serve as the RBC “Centre of Expertise” within the Next Best Action (NBA) Platform & Program Delivery team and supports the Senior Manager, NBA Best Practices, and the Director NBA Optimization on the effective and efficient deployment of data-driven, targeted client communications for Next Best Action. You will champion and successfully manage through uncertainty and change in a fast-paced environment while supporting team members through the process.
As part of the data-enabled Customer Engagement & Data team, this is both a business and technical support role requiring effective communication skills, technical knowledge of relational databases and structured programming language, as well as experience with data decisioning tools/environments.
The NBA Best Practices team is looking for a data analyst to contribute and build upon the ecosystem by collaborating with our technology/business partners across RBC. This team supports 6 lines of business in NBA Delivery & CIDM (Client Interaction & Decision Management) on how we go-to-market with 300+campaigns. You will provide operational support, drive compliance, lead the integration of best practices, and implement changes via team-wide communications and training to inform & enable the larger team.
Note that this position has a requirement for working in the office 4 days per week.
What will you do?
- Ensure that all CRM concepts and best practices are implemented to meet business objectives
- Perform data analytics on strategic changes in order to provide and enable team with information analysis on marketing, regulatory and operational campaign initiatives
- Develop, manage and maintain NBA Delivery training and IT & business requirements materials, which includes process documentation, SharePoint site maintenance and team wide communications (oral and written)
- Facilitate and create materials and communications for various Information Sharing sessions across the team of 60+ campaign design & execution managers
- Facilitate weekly Infrastructure Governance sessions with the NBA Delivery management team
- Work closely with our NBA Optimization team to enable NBA Delivery to champion and successfully execute changes and efficiencies
- Research, analyze and document business and systems requirements to resolve business system issues, and recommend business solutions
- Follow all Data Stewardship and Governance policies and processes that align to and support Canadian Banking business strategies and priorities
- Ensure corporate reputation is maintained by strict adherence to data privacy guidelines and ethics, data stewardship and governance policies and processes
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have:
- Knowledge of various technical tools, decisioning environments, database marketing, structured programming concepts including the use of analytical tools (i.e. Python, SAS,UNIX, Tableau, Teradata SQL)
- Experience in business analysis, business process mapping, requirements gathering
- Experience leading change adoption, training & development
- Solid presentation/communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, relationship building, impact and influence capabilities
- Experience with creating process documentation
- Strong project management and implementation skills while effectively managing deadlines
- Ability to take initiative on a task and be able to identify business needs and act on a solution
- 2-3 years’ experience with relational databases and structured programming concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to emerging technology
- Experience simplifying and automating work and making things better for clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as required in an agile environment.
- A curiosity and passion for continuous learning and helping others.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing, and risk management
- Quality Assurance experience including experience with campaign build and execution
- Experience with continuous integration and development tools
