The RBC Dominion Securities Branch located in Campbell River, BC is looking for a licensed Associate to join the team in maintaining, developing and growing an Investment Advisor's business by providing clients exceptional service in an efficient and professional manner. The ideal candidate should have at least one year experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate and be fully IDA licensed.
This is a 1 year maternity leave coverage with the possibility of being made permanent.
Key Accountabilities:
Client Service:
- Input and follow-up on client orders as directed by IA’s
- Meet and greet prospects and clients
- Investigate and follow-up on all client inquiries
- Utilize contact management system for all necessary follow up
Administrative:
- Investigate and resolve inquiries and complaints related to accounts and refer to the Investment Advisor where appropriate
- Follow-up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
- Maintain current knowledge of client accounts by reviewing daily activity online and on applicable reports
- Maintain client files
- Ensure clients’ accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and forward to appropriate Branch contact
- Utilize contact management system for daily task management
- Documentation & New Accounts Openings
- Research
Clerical:
- Print reports and distribute them accordingly
- Faxing and photocopying
- Word processing
What do you need to succeed?
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks
- Ensure daily communication with your Investment Advisors
- Ability to deliver results with shifting priorities
- Ability to deal with varying personalities with internal and external clients
Knowledge/Experience:
- CSC & CPH is required
- Excellent command of English language
- Good telephone manner
- Strong customer service
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to successfully multi-task
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of the firm’s operations, policies and procedures regarding client accounts, including internal control policies (preferred)

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.
The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
