Job Description

What will you do?

  • Define and maintain RBC’s AppSec roadmap focusing on DevSecOps and Security Controls, prioritizing initiatives, defining measurable benefits to application development teams who leverage our AppSec offering.
  • Measure and track KPIs, focusing on on-demand reporting and alignment to RBCs Technology strategic vision.
  • Focus on cost management for initiatives ensuring effective return on investment and reducing unit cost to deliver AppSec.
  • Drive adoption of AI in the workplace and help define the future of how AI can be adopted within the workplace while setting guardrails.
  • Drive the Developer education platform to help good coding hygiene and strengthen RBC AppSec learning posture.
  • Deliver strong customer engagement through community meet ups, practitioner steering groups, focused user groups and partner product management groups.
  • Perform market needs analysis on high level initiatives. Understand industry trends.
  • Own the release management for initiatives including planning, prioritization, documentation, communication and execution of rollout plans.
  • Collaborate with RBC next generation technology product management group, representing AppSec for feedback and prioritization. Driving our organization to focus on usability, quality and reducing technical debt.
  • Build strong relationships with RBC’s application development team executives ensuring we are meeting their team’s needs, and RBC Vendors to align strategy and roadmaps for key products.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3+ years of AppSec Engineering experience, working with AppSec tools like Github, Jfrog, Artifactory, Snyk and processes like Docker & Kubernetes along with software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience in API delivery, Data Management and/or Business Analytics.
  • Experience with Agile Product Management in technology driving product discussions, market scans, user experience research efforts, software development, and delivery.
  • Relevant education in Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and work independently to creatively solve problems.
  • Be an excellent communicator, negotiator and translator who can connect technology and business audiences, tailoring messaging and approach.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Elastic, Logstash & Kibana (ELK), Azure DataBricks is definitely a bonus.
  • DevOps experience with Git (SCM, Builds), Artifactory, Docker / K8s.
  • Experience with AI Agent Frameworks and Langchain is a bonus.
  • AppSec - Security Vulnerabilities, Relationship between AppSec and DevOps data (Repos, Release Artifacts, etc.
