What is the opportunity?
You will be supporting the Sophis and Valuation Management applications for the Equity Derivatives business. These are critical applications which delivers overnight and intraday Risk Limits and Valuations for the Front Office, Risk and Valuations teams. In addition, you will be supporting the compute infrastructure and orchestration software, DataSynapse GRID, which supports pricing requests for all Front Office and Back Office applications in Equity Derivatives.
You will be responsible for maintaining stability and availability of the application, as well as continuous software releases to add features and enhancements. You will be orchestrating software release which occur after hours on weekdays (primarily Fridays). You will be in an on-call weekend rotation that includes issue resolution/triaging and infrastructure maintenance. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity of the data quality derived from our official EOD Market Data and positions which are priced by the Model Library via Analytics interface.
What will you do?
Quickly address issues pertaining to front office, middle office and back office that impact the business’ ability to perform daily functions
Drive improved stability and higher quality of data delivered to front office, middle office and back office
Contribute and improve the configuration of our monitoring platform ITRS, while actioning triggered events
Document new issues that occur and maintain/enhance existing documentation to ensure consistent steps performed for known issues
Coordinate between several groups to remediate issues (Support, Development, Analytics, Quants)
Investigate pricing failures and resolve issues utilization various skills including SQL, Unix, Windows
Automate processes using Python, PowerShell and other scripting languages
Engage in platform related projects which include vulnerability remediation, business continuity practice and automation of day-to-day tasks
Perform change and release practices to deploy proprietary and vendor-based software
Weekend on-call rotation will be required to ensure stable start of week
Rotation of shift schedules that require both early (8 AM – 5:30 PM EST) and late shifts (10-7 PM EST)
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
3+ years’ experience supporting applications on equity derivatives or other capital market products
3+ years' experience with SQL scripting
3+ years' experience working on Linux and Windows Server
1-2 years' experience with Python scripting
Monitoring experience of high availability trading applications, batch processing or similar
Job Scheduler experience (i.e. BMC Control-M, Autosys, Cron, etc.)
Nice-to-have
Kubernetes / Docker experience
ITRS Geneos Monitoring Software

Oracle
