Job Description

What is the Opportunity?


Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development Consulting, the Business Development Consultant will join a dynamic team and serve as a direct resource to both IAs and ICs. The ideal candidate recognizes that there is not a “one size fits all” approach to business building, and understands that every team has unique goals and capabilities. As such, they are able to devise a variety of creative solutions and confidently convey strategies that best align with each team’s individual objectives.


What will you do?


Provide direct support to IAs and ICs through one on one consultations (building action plans, identifying potential opportunities, suggesting best practices, addressing individual team goals)
Record and oversee required IA/IC follow up activities and touchpoints
Host firm wide presentations on a variety of business building topics (regional conferences, training programs, branch presentations etc.)
Assist in developing special projects and resources (digital content, creating templates and “how to” guides, hosting webcasts, interview series, marketing activities etc.)
Partner with head office teams to execute joint endeavors
Offer ideas and identity opportunities to enhance Business Development team offerings and efficiencies
This role is available to qualified candidates located in provinces across the country.


Must Have:

  • Undergraduate University Degree

  • 7+ years working within the wealth management advisory channels

  • In depth knowledge of the inner workings of IA/IC teams

  • Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to generate creative and innovative solutions

  • Excel in a collaborative environment, but also comfortable working autonomously

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of time

  • Nice to have:

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or Financial Planning experience and Post-Graduate degree

  • Spoken and written French
