What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the US Tax Documentation, US Tax Withholding and Reporting to the IRS and AEOI Tax Reporting team. You will be responsible for people management, managing operational risk, development of the team’s operational capabilities and optimizing operational quality and efficiency, and have overall responsibility to ensure all tax documentation pertaining to Qualified Intermediary, FATCA and CRS are processed and maintained in line with regulatory and operational requirements
You will ensure all AEOI tax reporting (FATCA & CRS) is submitted accurately and on time on behalf of Royal Bank of Canada, RBC Investor Services Trust – as delegate by FATCA Responsible Officer and that all US Tax Withholding and Reporting to the IRS is performed on a timely basis and in line with regulatory and operational requirements
What will you do?
Overall responsibility to ensure all tax documentation and reporting pertaining to Qualified Intermediary, FATCA and CRS, US Tax Withholding and QI reconciliation are processed accurately and in timely manner and maintained in line with regulatory and operational requirements
Leads the management of change across the function, to improve quality and operational efficiency to increase capacity.
Builds strong relationships and seeks to collaborate to create solutions, business models and approaches.
Lead and develop Management and technical competencies and create an environment which motivates and develops skills and retains highly rated individuals.
Stay current with external environment that governs and influences the business.
Ensures compliance with corporate and regulatory policies by implementing and monitoring operational processes.
Develops strategic plans and procedures for managing investment risk in financial transactions.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
5-10 years’ US Tax experience in financial services
Superior interpersonal and networking skills with a proven track record of dealing with clients, industry associations, senior management, colleagues and staff
Ability to lead initiatives and projects
Superior communications and presentation skills
Strong Leadership skills
Risk management and mitigation focus
Nice to have
Continuous Improvement and innovation mindset

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
