What is the opportunity?

We’re excited to offer a 4-month summer opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst Intern. In this role, you will support the RBCx Finance Operations team across a wide range of activities, including financial planning, reporting, and analysis. You will work with large datasets, prepare financial models, and assist in creating reports and presentations for key stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for financial strategy and decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to the annual financial planning cycle.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for tech partners, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist with quarterly business reviews.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
  • Create presentations and dashboards to communicate financial results and trends to stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Basic financial analysis capability (understanding of financial statements and budgeting concepts)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, and basic modeling).
  • Ability to work with and interpret large datasets (e.g., Excel, Sheets, or basic BI tools).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of financial principles, accounting, and business strategy.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint for creating presentations.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with financial tools or software (e.g.,financial modeling tools).
  • Experience with process improvement or cost-saving initiatives.
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to learn and adapt.

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
