Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will ensure that all Estate ad Adjustment Processing cases assigned are completed accurately, on target and within regulatory standards, and First Time Right Processing and Quality Control in order to maximize Client experience. In addition, you will assist other RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) departments/teams in the resolution of Client issues in order to maximize Client Experience.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of specialized knowledge related to Adjustment and estate processing within the Transaction Processing team
  • Pre-screens Letters of Indemnity and complete trade corrections and fulfill cash/money movements, as applicable.
  • Apply Quality Control procedures to ensure trades are adjusted, first time right.
  • Monitor Gain/Loss Reports and complete Loss Invoices to reimburse Funds for losses incurred as a result of processing letters of indemnity.
  • Update investor accounts by adding messages pertaining to notable actions which have occurred.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external client groups
  • Assist with the audit of adjusted transactions and departmental processes and procedures.
  • Review Client procedures and suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Work with Manager to update Desk Operating Procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills in running/debugging various Microsoft Office application macros.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience within Shareholder Services or similar multi-client mutual fund administration environment
  • Good working knowledge / experience in the financial services industry, specifically in Mutual fund and Segregated Funds administration
  • Sound knowledge of Error Corrections, Estates and compliance /regulation – including Registered Products
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high stress environment
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external client groups
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer Literacy - Intermediate
  • Sound technical and analytical skills in running/debugging various applications and macros including MS Office

Nice-to-have

  • Proven track record in leading initiatives, managing cross-functional relationships
  • Completion of IFIC Mutual Funds Operations Course
  • Unitrax Recordkeeping System knowledge
  • FundSERV knowledge

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$46,000.00 - $70,000.00
