What is the opportunity?
RBC Wealth Management is a leading financial services organization with a global footprint, dedicated to providing exceptional wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to fill the role of Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics, who will play a critical role in delivering insights that influence business strategy and drive the growth, operational efficiency and profitability of our global business.
The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that supports the growth and profitability of RBC Wealth Management. This team member will oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of our business intelligence and analytics capabilities. Key components of this role include establishing an analytics environment – including core tech stack and data foundation – that aligns with our overall data strategy, driving both repeatable reporting and ad-hoc strategic analysis, and enabling data-driven decision-making for our Executive Leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
What will you do?
Working with the Head of Data & AI Strategy, develop and execute a business intelligence strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives
Establish an analytics environment, including the evaluation and implementation of BI and analytics tools and technologies to support our data and analytical strategies
Help guide the evolution of a data environment enables the integration of data from multiple domains, and supports the creation of a single, unified view of our global business
Develop and maintain a robust reporting framework that supports both repeatable reporting and ad-hoc strategic analysis for Executive Leadership, including:
Data visualization and dashboarding to enable intuitive and interactive exploration of data
Ad-hoc/bespoke analyses to inform strategic decisions
Standardized reports for periodic business reviews and Executive Leadership discussions
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on business intelligence and data analytics matters
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics
Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of new tools and solutions
What do you need to succeed?
A degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred
Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly in wealth management
Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business intelligence strategies and solutions
Strong technical skills, including experience with data engineering, data modeling, business intelligence tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python); experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI and Tableau preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams
Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the wealth management industry and its trends and challenges
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines
