Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

As a Senior Digital Product Owner, you will lead the strategic development and execution of high-impact digital products that drive business growth, enhance customer experience, and align with organizational goals. You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and end-users, ensuring products are delivered with exceptional quality, scalability, and market relevance.

What will you do? :

  • Define and articulate the product roadmap, aligning with business objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, analytics) to prioritize features, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Champion user-centric design by conducting research, gathering feedback, and validating product hypotheses.
  • Track KPIs (e.g., engagement, conversion, retention) and iterate on product enhancements to maximize ROI.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
  • Guide junior product owners, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed? Must have's:

  • 5+ years in product management, with a proven track record of launching successful digital products (e.g., mobile apps, web platforms, SaaS).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, APIs, cloud technologies, and UX/UI principles.
  • Exceptional ability to influence, negotiate, and drive consensus across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making using tools like Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have's

  • Preferred (e.g., CSPO, PMP, or equivalent Agile certifications).
  • Experience with budget and forecasting
