This is a great opportunity for a high-energy, agile, motivated self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. You will manage the daily details of event planning while using big picture thinking to ensure the experiences support the CAE Group strategic objectives.

In this role you’ll be encouraged to use your curiosity and creative skills to stay informed on trends in event planning, design and production to consistently provide high impact events and experiences.

What will you do?

  • Working cross-functionally and partnering with internal stakeholders, with overall accountability for the planning and execution of all CAE Group events, including:
  • Strategic: Annual Senior Leadership Team Conference, Hackathons, Innovation Labs
  • Learning: Onboarding “Base Camp”, Global Town Halls, “Ask Me Anything” Sessions
  • Employee Engagement: New Hire Employee Breakfasts, Quarterly Appreciation Events, Summer Social, Holiday Party, Performance Gala
  • Successfully execute event production and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue scouting and preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, technical execution and decor
  • Lead the creation of events, ensuring best-in-class experience and maximizing the delivery and achievement of all event KPI’s and objectives.
  • Oversee creation of event communications and promotion
  • Proactively identify & solve operational challenges and maintain event budgets
  • Gather and track ROI, engagement analytics and post-event feedback to consistently assess and implement opportunities for improvement

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in corporate event management
  • Proficient in designing and executing large scale events (e.g., leadership conferences) and learning & development events
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management and attention to detail

Nice to have:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • Experience in financial institutions
