What is the opportunity?
RBC Merchant Services is a leading provider of point-of-sale and e-commerce merchant payment solutions in the Caribbean region. As Manager, Merchant Services, you will support the Senior Manager with efficient execution of product strategies and initiatives to strengthen competitive advantage, increase market share for target merchant segments, while optimizing financial performance and mitigating risk for the Merchant Services product suite.
What will you do?
- Support the execution of product strategy and initiatives to drive acquisition, retention, and growth, while proactively mitigating risks to ensure operational excellence.
- Support the development, and maintenance of product procedures and electronic forms to optimize efficiency, compliance, and a seamless merchant client experience.
- Complete product risk reviews to ensure compliance with policies and procedures while overseeing the timely implementation of action plans to address findings.
- Review approved pricing exception requests as needed and monitor the impact of pricing decisions on product profitability.
- Support day-to day management of supplier and payment network relationships, including contract governance, performance monitoring, and invoicing, while ensuring adherence to enterprise third-party requirements.
- Monitor and ensure the timely completion of action plans regarding operational risk events, audit findings, and regulatory requests.
- Support the development of compelling content for Merchant Services communications, marketing collateral, and supporting materials, ensuring alignment with enterprise brand standards.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support change management activities, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and successful implementation of applicable changes.
- Collaborate with Agile Lab Project Managers and Business Analysts as needed, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder requirements.
- Lead development and management of reporting for key product performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment with business objectives.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services.
- Undergraduate degree in Business Management or equivalent education and experience.
- Quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines, delivering quality work with a high attention to detail.
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through proactive communication and a collaborative approach to achieve mutual goals.
- Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and support process improvements that enhance operational performance.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities, with a proactive approach to learning and seeking clarification when required to deliver results in a dynamic business environment.
Nice to have
- Foundational payment industry knowledge, including awareness of payment methods and systems.
- Understanding of enterprise third party risk management requirements.
- Understanding of Caribbean region’s economic and cultural landscape, with awareness of market dynamics relevant to financial services.
