What is the Opportunity?
As Director Foreign Exchange, you are a One RBC leader responsible for driving growth in the Commercial FX portfolio across Large Commercial (LC), Core Commercial (CC), and Business Markets (BM) clients. Your role is critical to realizing Transaction Banking priorities by developing and executing strategy, attracting and developing top talent, leading business growth through tailored FX solutions, and delivering exceptional client experiences in close collaboration with CRTs, RBCCM, and partners. Success requires expertise in FX solutions, strong leadership capabilities (e.g., Inspiring Talent, Critical Thinking), and a client-centric mindset, positioning RBC as a market leader in Commercial FX.
What Will You Do?
Strategy Development & Execution:
- Partner with RBCCM and Commercial Banking leaders to enhance market presence and brand.
- Collaborate with partners to design Performance Management Routines (PMRs) and sales processes.
- Represent the "Voice of Sales" in talent management, information management, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Extend Commercial FX best practices to Commercial TSS and monitor KPIs to drive outcomes.
Talent Leadership:
- Build a diverse talent pipeline, mentor new advisors, and foster a growth mindset.
- Develop team capabilities for confident FX and pricing discussions.
- Promote continuous learning and employee engagement.
Business Growth:
- Lead a proactive contact strategy to identify FX opportunities and collaborate with CRTs on New Client Acquisition (NCA).
- Coach the team to deliver tailored solutions that optimize client operations and cash flows.
- Prioritize cross-partner collaboration and opportunity referrals.
Client Experience Excellence:
- Mentor the team to provide comprehensive, client-centric FX solutions.
- Leverage client feedback to refine service quality and team development.
- Strategically manage pricing tiers to balance risk, profitability, and client relationships.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must-Have:
- Proven leadership in FX or Transaction Banking with a track record of driving growth.
- Strong business acumen and financial acumen.
- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Advanced knowledge of FX solutions and working capital channels.
Nice-to-Have:
- Direct experience in Commercial Banking or RBCCM.
- Formal leadership training or certifications (e.g., MBA).
