As a Reconciliation Officer you will perform in-depth investigations and be responsible for the effective resolution of issues impacting our clients, operational risk and RBC’s financial results. **Please note this is a 6 month contract
What will you do?
- Daily Reconciliation activities including a mix of investigations, problem solving, follow-up, deadlines, support and reporting that requires the use of various systems and human interactions
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness to the quality of service we provide
- Collaborate with caring colleagues and leaders who support your development through learning and coaching opportunities
- Proactively identify issues and challenges to remove obstacles to success
- Prioritize activities and reports and adjust as needed so that important team objectives and client deadlines are met
- Act as a coach and provide guidance to resolve issues and update all documented procedures to enhance our ability to provide outstanding service
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to solve problems, curious mindset, take ownership and be accountable
- Commitment to get the job done, collaborative work ethic and win as a team style in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Be an innovative thinker who is proactive, is well organized with attention to detail and cares about supporting everyone
- Passionate about continuous growth and learning. Every challenge is an opportunity for improvement
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, etc.)
- Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliation processing and Attestation Policy
- Familiar with RBC applications and products
