What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Controls & Regulatory initiatives is responsible for leading a variety of moderately complex to complex business initiatives. This role has ownership of Business Managed Applications, including driving optimized use and adoption of the application, vendor relationship management, business engagement and ongoing access and maintenance. The individual will provide ownership of key regulatory requirements and ensuing compliance with the regulation and policy. The individual will also lead projects that help drive business insights and value, address key operational risk gaps including compliance and risk related initiatives.
What will you do?
- Build strong partner relationships enabling a successful engagement with key stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for RBCIS.
- Drive strong and transparent Vendor relationships.
- Establishes clear communication channels fostering strong collaboration and trust building skills needed.
- Challenges the status quo and can deal with ambiguity and drive solutions.
- Works independently and thinks strategically to drive stakeholder value (cost savings).
- Leverage data to provide insights & recommendations for decision to business stakeholders on moderately complex to complex initiatives including business analysis.
- Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex data where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Makes recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple projects and other work areas.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- University degree or diploma (or certification) in business management.
- At least 4-7+ years related experience in a similar role Managing a business application/vendor.
- Challenging the status quo, driving strategic thinking and strong ability to influence and persuade others.
- Governance, oversight, and execution of projects related to risk & compliance policies and projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong software skills in MS products: Excel, Visio, PowerPoint etc.
- Product Owner, project manager, change management mindset and capabilities.
- Proficient technical skills an asset – Python, Microsoft Power BI.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
