What is the Opportunity?
This role leads the Corporate Treasury Product Control team, supporting Corporate Treasury (CT) business within the Corporate Support segment to provide weekly and monthly balance sheet and P&L reporting, as well as leading a data-driven strategy supporting business growth. This role is primarily accountable for:
- Effectively manage weekly and monthly balance sheet and P&L reporting for Corporate Treasury businesses, including HQLA portfolio, ALM, Term Funding, Securitization, and Corporate Capital. This involves managing a team of approximately 13 product controllers to provide oversight on a sound control framework, and ensure accurate reporting, including insights into key business drivers and metrics
- Act as trusted business partner and provide best-in-class business support through P&L reporting and analytics
- Act as the main liaison with Finance Business Advisors, Performance Management team, Financial Control, Information Technology, Finance Shared Services and other functional and operating units with issues related to balance sheet and revenue reporting
- Lead data-driven change initiatives, including production automation as well as additional P&L analytics reporting on CT businesses; ensure that Finance data strategies are well-aligned with enterprise-wide modernization efforts
What will you do?
P&L PRODUCTION, MONTH-END REPORTING AND RECONCILIATION
- Oversee the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of P&L and balance sheet reporting for the CT business lines
- Maintain a strong control environment, including compliance with internal control frameworks, audit requirements, and disclosure requirements
- Lead and mentor a team that produces P&L, balance sheet and revenue decomposition on a weekly and monthly basis
- Set priorities and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of P&L discrepancies arising from incorrect booking of transactions and/or process and system errors by liaising with various functional and business teams
- Inform senior management of any trends or insights that may present potential risk to achieving strong financial results
- Monitor and liaise with IT and systems groups with regards to data quality and key banking source system initiatives
- Review and approve all monthly, quarterly and annual disclosures and regulatory reporting to ensure results are accurate and appropriate
- Maintain all relevant SOX/End User Computing (EUC) controls
PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW PRODUCT IMPLEMENTATION
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across P&L production, manual journals, data sourcing, and disclosure preparation with a focus on automation that is aligned to enterprise Finance modernization strategy
- Initiate recommendations to ensure adequate controls and data integrity across systems and other data sources
- Ensure all new initiatives and products have minimal impact to daily/monthly operations
MANAGERIAL EXCELLENCE
- Establish and maintain a high performing team
- Attend meetings acting as business lead for specific projects relating to Business, IT and Finance initiatives
- Play a key role in supervising and cross training analysts to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner

What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 5 - 8 years’ of experience in Product Control or a closely related role
- Proven experience and strong overall understanding of fixed income and derivative products, as well as their usage in a treasury setting
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication and people management skills
- Ability to make decisions and collaborate effectively with people
- Ability to deal with problems that are not well defined and create clear and concise solutions with feedback from many users
- Experienced in project management and change management
Nice to have:
- CPA/CFA/MBA (Finance) or other accounting designation
- Experience with data analysis to deliver business driver insights and analytics
- Experience with Treasury function in a bank setting
