WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Build an enterprise AI ecosystem where solutions are built once and leveraged everywhere. As Senior Director, you'll champion systematic reuse and modular architecture, transforming fragmented point solutions into a scalable, governed portfolio of reusable AI capabilities. Reporting to the Vice President AI, Architecture, Tools & Innovation, you'll combine strategic visioning with hands-on development execution to ensure AI investments compound over time. This role creates the conditions for every AI team in the enterprise to move faster, reuse more, and deliver greater value with each successive initiative.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for AI reuse and capability development, aligned to enterprise priorities with clear roadmap milestones
- Oversee the design and operation of the enterprise AI asset catalog and registry, defining metadata standards and quality criteria to ensure assets are discoverable and production-ready
- Lead development of foundational AI capabilities and reusable components designed for enterprise-wide consumption across business units
- Establish and manage cross-functional development teams with clear accountability, setting technical standards, code review processes, and quality gates
- Implement versioning, lineage, and dependency management practices that give teams confidence in asset stability and provenance
- Build strong, trusted partnerships with business units to understand AI needs, identify reuse opportunities, and drive adoption of shared capabilities
- Establish success metrics and KPIs to measure reuse adoption rates, asset utilization, and return on AI investment across the enterprise
- Present quarterly updates to executive leadership, adapting strategy and roadmap in response to evolving business priorities and technical developments
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have
- 10+ years progressive experience in technology strategy, AI/ML, or enterprise architecture, with at least 4 years in senior leadership capacity
- Demonstrated track record building and scaling reusable technology platforms or capability frameworks in large, complex organizations
- Strong command of AI/ML development lifecycles, MLOps practices, and enterprise AI governance with technical fluency to engage credibly with teams
- Proven ability to define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps that deliver measurable business impact and evolve with priorities
- Collaborative leadership style with demonstrated ability to influence across business and technology functions
Nice-to-have
- Experience operating in financial services or similarly complex regulated enterprise environment
- Familiarity with asset and knowledge management principles including metadata standards, cataloging, and versioning at enterprise scale
- Fluency in change management principles and track record driving adoption of new platforms and ways of working across large organizations
- Exposure to agentic AI architectures, LLM deployment patterns, or enterprise AI governance frameworks
