WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Exciting opportunity to join the Client & Banking Technology team at Capital Markets as the Associate Director of Data Architecture and Strategy.  Initiates client data integration and strategy related activities, including defining the architecture patterns, technology stack build out and designing the flow and consumption of client data used by application teams. This is a horizontal services position within Client Banking Technology (CBT) architecture to drive out the client data strategy and standardization of data technology across all of CBT applications. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.  This is an important role in our CBT strategy to continue transforming our data analytics, derive insights, create value from our data and having the right technology platform and strategy to do this will be very important.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Defining client data strategy and architecture around how client data is captured, stored, processed, distributed and consumed by CBT applications and alignment to the overall Capital Markets data strategy
  • Designing database, data models, data processes/services, data fabric/warehouse applications and through the use of best practices and tools, including SQL, SSIS, SSRS, ETL, Java, NoSQL, etc.
  • Delivering high quality related outcomes including data services/processes, data flow and consumption, and data system enhancements in accordance with existing standards and guidelines.
  • Strong working experience with data technology tools: GraphQL, Logstash, Elasticsearch, MemSQL, Ignite/GridGain, etc
  • Strong understanding and experience with Data Lake, Data Fabric, Data Mesh, etc
  • Optimization and maintenance of the data technology stack, management of upgrade cycles, etc.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have

  • 7+ years of data integration experience, data modeling and developing backend services using APIs and Store Procedures
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Data Lake, Data Fabric and building data strategy around Authorized Provisioning Points
  • 7+ years experience working with various data technology tools:  graphQL, Logstash, MemSQL, etc
  • 7+ years off hands-on experience in maintaining technology stack and management of update cycles
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing platforms and people management
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Data Engineering or equivalent degree

Nice-to-have:

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) experience is nice to have
  • Strategic tinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and business
  • Capital Markets experience would be preferred
