Ready to Make an impact?
Sobeys Inc. is reimagining grocery through a cutting-edge Marketing-Tech stack and a rapidly growing Retail Media Network. We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager - Marketing and Media Automation who can turn data, machine learning outputs, and omni-channel signals into seamless, low-latency workflows that drive loyalty engagement, personalized offers, and advertiser ROI.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Own the automation roadmap — design, prioritize, and launch workflow engines that power:
- Loyalty points distribution mechanisms and scalable test-and-learn loops
- Offer personalization variants orchestration and experiments
- Website/app content creation and dynamic experience testing
- In-store digital signage triggers and RMN campaign automation
- Measurement and sales-lift dashboards for internal teams and suppliers
- Unify the data flow across stores, sites, apps, cloud platforms, and DWHs — ensuring near real-time ingestion, decisioning, and orchestration
- Integrate best-of-breed vendors and GenAI services (e.g., vector DBs, content generators, uplift modelers) while safeguarding privacy and compliance
- Embed a closed-loop feedback system — capture event-level signals, update models, and roll out feature flags with sub-second latency
- Collaborate closely with Sales Ops, Ad Ops, Media Planning, Loyalty, Personalization, DXP, Engineering, and Change Management to map processes and eliminate manual pain points
- Champion enablement — build playbooks, demos, and KPI scorecards so PMs, dev squads, and commercial teams can self-serve new automations
- Track business impact — partner with BAs to build cases and iterate based on ROI targets and adoption metrics
- Influence UX — work with design on UI components, front-end APIs, and workflow visualizers that make complex logic easy to tune
What you have to offer:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced analytics or MBA is a plus
- 5–8 years in product management or marketing automation leadership within MarTech, AdTech, or data platform environments
- Proven track record of shipping ML-driven, rules-based, or event-stream automations at scale
- Solid understanding of loyalty and offer engines, ad serving, and real-time experimentation frameworks
- Working knowledge of front-end stacks, APIs, and cloud-native back-ends (GCP, Azure, or AWS)
- Comfortable with BI and observability tools — capable of building dashboards and diagnosing latency, logic, or attribution issues
- Excellent communicator and facilitator — able to translate complex technical concepts for execs and cross-functional teams
- Experience working in bilingual (EN/FR) environments or with localization workflows is an asset
