The opportunity: The Commercial Dental & Vision Strategic Growth and Pricing team is a strategic enablement organization that oversees the development and execution of business strategies across commercial dental and vision to drive future top-line growth and bottom-line underlying earnings in support of our strategic & financial objectives.
How you will contribute: Partner with the leader of the Commercial Dental & Vision Strategic Growth and Pricing team in collaboration with the Commercial Dental & Vision leadership team to shape, articulate and prioritize the overall agenda for profitable growth of the commercial dental & vision business.
Through effective navigation of a matrixed organization and the utilization of Agile, Design Thinking, and Project Management methodologies, this individual will partner with functional leaders to map out short term and long-term pathways, translate concepts into actionable projects, and effectively resource, manage, and track the execution of a suite of projects aligned to our emerging and evolving transformation strategy.
How you will contribute:
- Lead business stakeholders through strategic planning process – with primary focus on the development of short- and long-term strategies to meet or exceed our strategic plan
- Partner with leadership to assess trends in the market and identify solutions that are aligned / match desired capabilities in the Commercial Dental & Vision insurance space
- Lead exploration and prioritization sessions with external vendors, business partners across Sun Life, and sub-functional teams
- Identify opportunities to implement solutions that will enhance our value prop and improve our ability to scale with planned growth
- Drive and facilitate Design Thinking, Agile, and Strategy sessions
- Build business case and collaborate on financial models to be used in assessment, prioritization, and steering discussions with functional leaders / primary business stakeholders
- Translate concepts into actionable programs and initiatives, visualize through the creation of a roadmap and facilitate execution
- Create and maintain Commercial Dental & Vision initiative tracking (both business and IT), transformation summaries; provide data analysis and reporting, lead updates with leaders
- Act as primary Commercial Dental & Vision stakeholder on key designated IT projects
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization while presenting highly complex ideas, anticipating potential objections and influencing others at all levels within the organization
- Effectively communicate the big picture vision and how it translates to smaller projects and day-to-day decisions and responsibilities
- Maintain OKR dashboards, initiative and leadership reporting
- Identify risks and dependencies across portfolio
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethics, diversity and inclusion as part of Sun Life’s commitment to fostering a sustainable business model
What you will bring with you:
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient with agile methodology and application
- Experience leading readiness planning and execution with agile teams
- Change management facilitation and adoption execution experience, ideally through digital transformation
- Digital program management experience
- Client-centric mindset
- Ability to analyze information, generate ideas, prioritize ideas, and arrive at a recommendation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal) with the ability to explain complex ideas to broad audiences; knows when to go deep and when to stay at a high level
- Collaborative in approach, appropriately engaging team members to carry out objective
- Highly motivated and independent thinker
- Flexible to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a professional and prompt manner
- Adaptable, flexible and comfortable dealing with ambiguity

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:
Southern region: $147,000- $220,500 annually.
Central region: $147,000-$220,500 annually.
Northern region: $165,800-$248,700 annually.
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $140,400- 210,600 annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $165,800-$248,700 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $147,000-$220,500 annually.
We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
