Job Description:

If so, then consider joining the Group Benefits Administration Leadership Team as Director, Group Benefits Administration. This role is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, delivering client service excellence, and driving our transformation agenda forward.
The specific mandate is to lead three areas within GB Administration:
- Plan Set-up and Maintenance teams who ensure claims payment, billing and administration systems are coded timely and accurately while evolving the digital capability to become more flexible and responsive to market, legislative and business demands.
- Workflow team which triages requests into GB Administration and routes them to the appropriate teams for handling.
- Client Problem Resolution which includes our Client Service Leads and Sponsor Advocacy who focus on effective and timely action to resolve client problems and drive continuous improvement throughout GB Administration. They help ensure we’re delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients.

- Develop, execute, and oversee OKR’s (Objectives, Key Results) to achieve business goals.
- Achieve operational targets in a cost-effective manner.
- Find efficiencies to reinvest in advancing the digital evolution.
- Manage large complex clients with unique service requirements.
- Lead/coach/develop a diverse, talented, and highly engaged team in multiple sites focused on delivering business results.
- Foster a work environment that values people and encourages participation, learning and empowerment in alignment with our brand.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor internal controls and governance for all operations including business processes, reporting and compliance to ensure achievement of objectives.

- Strong leadership skills with ability to navigate complex and rapidly changing environments.
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
