Job Description:
The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, support, and optimization of the organization’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system and other HR Information Systems. This role ensures that our systems are configured, maintained, and leveraged to support HR operations, reporting, compliance and overall business goals. The HR Systems Analyst partners closely with HR, IT, payroll, benefits, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, uphold operating standards, and deliver actionable insights balancing risk and digital employee experience.
What will you do:
· Administer and maintain the system(s), primarily Workday, to include security, business processes/workflows, and configuration
· Manage and track HR system related service and/or product enhancement requests and incidents through Jira (or other ticketing system) ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders in accordance with our operating guidelines
· Serve as the primary point of contact for HR technology related issues, troubleshooting, and system issues
· Partner with HR and business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements
· Create, manage, and distribute HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance
· Maintain data integrity through regular audits, testing, and system updates
· Partner and/or support cyclical HR processes such as talent management, compensation planning, and benefits administration
· Document processes, provide training materials, and host user training sessions for stakeholders
· Collaborate with IT or vendors on system upgrades/releases, patches, and implementations
· Ensure HR data security and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
· Stay current on HR technology trends and best practices to recommend system enhancements
What do you need to succeed:
· 2-4 years of experience with HCM/HRIS systems, Workday experience a plus
· Familiarity with ticket management tools such as Jira or Service Now
· Understanding of data governance, operating guidelines, and quality control best practices
· Experience, or ability to adapt and learn, in participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and planning initiatives
· Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Experience in creating and analyzing HR reports and metrics
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and intermediate level with Excel
· Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
· As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
