SLC Management offers a mix of in-office and virtual work where our employees are empowered to do their best. Generally, employees are expected to work three or more days in-office each week with flexibility depending on their business, client and team needs.

Job Description:

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Are you passionate about data? Do you want to join a dynamic team that produces data to drive business decisions and outcomes? Are you passionate about delivering innovative solutions in a fast paced, growing asset management environment. We are looking for an Investments Data Analyst to join our SLC Data Platform Team. You will be responsible for data analysis, data mapping, data modeling, governance and testing of various data sources and platforms. You will also collaborate with other data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to create derived consumable data products. This role includes thorough analysis and understanding of capital markets data so a strong background in Asset Management/Capital Markets is required. Proficient facilitation, interpersonal and elicitation skills are also imperative to capture complex business/data requirements in this fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis and profiling, data product creation and data governance.

  • 6+ years of experience in Asset Management/capital markets with very strong and broad domain knowledge of investment instruments and the asset management business.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Practical experience with technologies such as SQL, python, BI platforms and modeling technologies in cloud environments.

  • Experience with Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira; Confluence; Miro) and writing technical user stories.

  • Evidence of effective and efficient delivery in a virtual, multi-site environment.

  • Highly motivated with demonstrated eagerness for continuous learning and self-growth.

  • Proven communication, consultation, and facilitation skills; leading diverse stakeholder groups to agreement.

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or training in related field.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Perform data mapping and data modeling activities to ensure data quality and integrity across different data sources and platforms.

  • When establishing new data products, define, develop and implement the component defined within the data certification process.

  • Adherently, enhance and support governance policies and procedures by ensuring data attributes are clearly defined and data security, privacy, and compliance requirements are met.

  • Support Data Owners/Steward in resolving technical data-related issues using specialized skills and tools.

  • Conduct data/process testing and validation to identify and resolve issues and anomalies.

  • Analyze and interpret data using various tools and techniques to generate insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.

  • Define and clearly articulate problem statements while communicating and presenting data insights/recommendations to various audiences, both technical and non-technical.

  • Manage discussions, negotiations and conflicts through resolution, using communication strategies that align with various audience styles and cultures.

  • Provide insights and input into data product strategies.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Data analysis, profiling, and interpretation to generate insights and recommendations.

  • Data mapping and data modeling to ensure data quality and integrity across platforms.

    Ability to analyze capital markets data to support business decision-making and data product creation.

Salary Range
