WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
We are looking for a motivated individual who will perform the role of Product Owner within our Data Platform team. With support from leadership, the Product Owner will create the product roadmap and contribute to defining a strategic roadmap that aligns to the organization’s vision. The candidate will have a deep understanding of the asset management industry, an interest in technology, and be able to advocate for user needs. The Product Owner will manage dependencies with other teams while identifying, building, and managing partnerships with various stakeholders. They will work closely within the team to translate user needs and feedback into new developments. The Product Owner will have a thorough understanding of our clients, our competitors/digital innovators, as well as our complementary product teams to build optimal products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Reporting to the Sr Director, Digital Product Strategy & Execution, this role will be part of a dedicated Agile team and will be responsible for implementing Data Products through a highly dynamic, fast-paced solution development process. The Product Owner will work lock step with an agile squad to transform business concepts & ideas into digital solutions and is accountable for achieving the desired business results while ensuring efficiency, high quality, and intense client focus. He/she/they will focus on managing timelines and priorities to hit the sweet spot between client needs, business goals, budget, and technology choices. The Product Owner will be accountable for specific business OKRs based on the team’s mission.
Roadmap Management: Create and maintain a product roadmap that translates corporate strategy into a cohesive product execution plan; ensuring features and enhancements maximize business value delivered.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, developers, designers, and management, to align and gather requirements with continuous feedback. Work with other product owners across the DSI team and business partners in compliance, legal, among others, to resolve product issues and support change management.
User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Facilitate discussions on requirements and service levels; capturing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure that features meet the desired outcomes and quality standards.
Backlog Management: Create, prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of the tasks/priorities while remaining accountable for the outcome. Ensure effective future planning.
Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in sprint planning and review meetings, providing clear guidance and feedback to the development team.
Communication and stakeholder management: Ensure effective communication of product goals, progress, and changes across the organization; ensuring stakeholder expectations are effectively managed and met during change cycles.
Objectives and Key Results: Accountable for ensuring Objectives and Key Results are established, progress monitored/communicated and met for their squad.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the product through key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer feedback and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Product Lifecycle Ownership: Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality and risk control during the Data Product Lifecycle.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Proven knowledge of investments space, 5+ years in capital markets/asset management industry.
Demonstrates knowledge of technology or ability to learn about technology and digital products, experience working on technical products is a plus.
Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from technology, design, business, and operations.
Ability to lead others to drive solutions forward.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills to analyze options and arrive at the best solution.
Strong executive-level communication skills with comfort speaking with business stakeholders and influencing/negotiation with others.
Proven communication, consultation, and facilitation skills; leading diverse stakeholder groups to agreement.
Well versed in navigating complex organizational structures and the capability to develop productive working relations with internal stakeholders across the region and globally.
Highly motivated with demonstrated eagerness for continuous learning and self-growth.
Strong understanding and work experience in agile development methodologies.
Managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers.
Passion to challenge the status quo, find new solutions and drive out-of-the-box ideas.
Not afraid to “roll up sleeves” and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn.

Salary Range
80,000/80 000 - 128,000/128 000We are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this role is competitive and we strive to ensure that compensation is fair and equitable. Your actual base salary will be determined by your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on individual and overall business performance along with a broad range of competitive benefits.
