Job Description:
This is a contract role starting May 2026 to June 1 2027.
Client Data Solutions (CDSS) in Group & Wealth Operations supports both Group Benefit and Group Retirement Services clients with all of their plan member data needs.
We specialize in:
- Inbound bulk data files and automated feeds from our clients into Sun Life (e.g., demographic data loads, asset transfer-in files, GRS enrolment and contribution feeds, etc.)
- Data loads, transfers, analysis and reporting to support client implementations, revisions, and ongoing service
Reporting to the Manager, Group Retirement Services, the Data Production Analyst is responsible for handling incoming work related to reporting, file formatting and entering member and plan level triggers with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. This may involve working with Client Services Teams, Client Relationship Executives, Business Projects and Solutions, IT, Implementation Project Managers and Plan Setup Specialists in Operations.
What will you do?
- Format data files to load to Sun Life systems
- Request and manipulate reports
- Enter triggers and schedule jobs as requested by admin (and other internal partners)
- Manage workflow on rotation basis and handle inquiries
- Collaborate continuously with team members to identify and implement process improvements and best practices, in order to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Create documentation of business processes and provide training on new or enhanced processes when required
- Apply quality checking functions and adhere to the team workflow tracking processes
What do you need to succeed?
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables) required
- Experience working with large sets of data entry or data manipulation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet quick turnaround times
- Collaborative, analytical and solutions-oriented
- Detail-oriented, time management and prioritizing skills
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.
What will be nice to have?
- Knowledge of investment products is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Group Retirement Services business, products, and processes is an asset.
- Experience with various technologies are assets (e.g., SQL, Jira, Tableau, VBA Coding, secure websites, etc.)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
