About the AI Product Foundations Team
The AI Product Foundations team is focused on enabling the delivery of innovative products built on top of foundational models.
In this role, you'll help develop the building blocks that enables teams to deliver reliable, observable, and cost-effective AI capabilities. You'll work at the intersection of engineering and product, bridging the gap between foundation ML/LLM work and bringing functional AI-powered features to life.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Help establish the technical vision for our AI product infrastructure
- Develop frameworks that make LLM integration seamless and reliable; building APIs and SDKs that allow LLMs to interface with Wealthsimple data and functionality.
- Create tools that enhance how we evaluate and monitor AI performance
- Guide strategic decisions on internal development versus external solutions
- Build new AI-powered product capabilities from 0 → 1; collaborating directly with product teams to bring AI features to life
- Share your expertise in LLM application development across the organization
- Shape how millions of people interact with their finances through AI
What you’ll bring:
- A keen product sense and strong data intuition
- Experience developing production applications using foundational models
- Ability to design and implement reliable, observable systems with appropriate guardrails
- Strong technical skills in software engineering and system design
- Proficiency with Python, Javascript, Ruby, or other similar languages
- An adeptness at communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving technical landscape
- You have a bias to action and favour experimentation over theorizing
